I had a lovely time at the Grand Hotel Plaza, with its stunning historical decor and excellent service. The location near the Spanish Steps is perfect for visiting major attractions, although my room presented slight disappointments regarding comfort. Overall, it offered a nice experience that I would certainly revisit.

Rooms
7.0
My room had charming character, but the bedding was uncomfortable due to using twin mattresses in a king frame. The bathroom had some leakage issues, which detracted from the experience.
Service
9.0
The staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist, making my stay more enjoyable. I appreciated their quick check-in process and willingness to help with luggage.
Location
10.0
The location was fabulous, a short walk from all the major sights and right in the heart of Rome, making it convenient for my travel plans.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was a mixed bag; the silver service was a bit too formal for my taste, but the variety of options was appreciated. The rooftop bar was closed during my visit, which was disappointing.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel has beautiful common areas that are perfect for relaxing or socializing, though some areas seemed a bit dated and could benefit from modernization.

5.8/10

My stay at the Grand Hotel Plaza was a mixed experience. While the location near the Spanish Steps was fantastic and the atmosphere in the historical lounge was good, I was disappointed with the room conditions and the inconsistent breakfast service. The staff was friendly and professional, but the lack of basic amenities in my room made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

Rooms
5.0
The room was quite spacious, but it felt outdated with threadbare carpets and a bathroom that was poorly maintained. I struggled with a shower that couldn't stay fixed and a general sense of neglect in the furnishings.
Service
6.0
The staff were courteous and eager to help, yet I often found myself waiting in long lines for assistance. It seemed like the staffing could have been better managed to provide a more seamless experience.
Location
8.0
The location was really good for sightseeing and shopping. Being close to the Spanish Steps made it easy to explore the city, and there were plenty of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the service was hit or miss. On one day, it was well-coordinated, but on others, the food wasn't as fresh or served in a pleasant area.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel had attractive public areas, I was disappointed by the absence of basic amenities like tea-making facilities in the room. The overall maintenance of the hotel could use some attention.

5.6/10

I enjoyed the prime location of the Grand Hotel Plaza, just moments from the Spanish Steps and surrounded by lively shops. The ground floor lounge provided a lovely space to unwind after my days of exploration. However, the cleanliness and upkeep of my room left much to be desired, which was disappointing for a hotel claiming five-star status. Overall, while the charm and service had their moments, there are several areas in need of significant improvement. 🌍🛏️

Rooms

My room was spacious but in tired condition, with issues like a leaking toilet and dirty bathroom surfaces. The overall upkeep felt subpar for a hotel of this caliber.
Service

While the reception staff were friendly, my interactions with male staff members were occasionally condescending. It felt inconsistent, which detracted from the overall experience.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is a highlight, with easy access to major attractions like the Trevi Fountain and great shopping just steps away.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast buffet was impressive, offering a wide variety, but I was disappointed when it was moved to a less convenient location during my stay.
Facilities

Public areas had an inviting ambiance, yet much of the hotel's facilities, including the WiFi, were inconsistent and in need of modernization.

5.6/10

I was excited to stay at Grand Hotel Plaza, given its beautiful historical decor and prime location near the Spanish Steps. However, my experience was quite disappointing due to issues with room cleanliness and customer service. While the lobby was impressive, the rest of my stay was overshadowed by discomfort from the room and inadequate responses from staff.

Rooms
5.0
My room was old and poorly maintained. The bathroom resembled a hospital bathroom, and I struggled with a stubborn door that frequently malfunctioned, leaving me frustrated.
Service
5.0
Service was disappointing. staff members were often unhelpful and sometimes dismissive of complaints, which exacerbated my experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel is in an excellent spot, just steps away from major attractions. This was definitely the highlight of my stay.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a letdown. What I hoped would be a luxurious buffet instead offered cold dishes and inconsistent service.
Facilities
5.0
The general amenities were underwhelming compared to my expectations for a hotel of this supposed caliber. Maintenance seemed lacking.

7.0/10

My stay at the Grand Hotel Plaza was a mix of highs and lows. The location is truly really good, placing me right near the Spanish Steps, which was perfect for exploring. However, I faced some challenges with the room and service during my visit. While the breakfast buffet had a promising start, it unfortunately didn't maintain its quality. Overall, I felt the hotel holds potential, but there are areas that need attention.

Rooms
6.0
The room I received was labeled as a 'superior' room, but it didn't meet those expectations. While it was clean and spacious, it wasn't the king-sized bed I booked, leading to some disappointment.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss. I found some staff to be incredibly helpful, but there were moments where I felt belittled by the doorman's treatment. It certainly affected my overall experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is a standout feature, with easy access to major attractions like the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. It's right in the heart of the city, which is absolutely fantastic.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast started off great, with a nice spread, but unfortunately, the quality declined on subsequent days. I was disappointed when I got charged for both a la carte and buffet menus on one occasion.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel has beautiful historical decor and lovely public spaces, more attention is needed for cleanliness and maintenance in the rooms. I encountered issues like a clogged sink during my stay.
